Families First North East picked up the Special Recognition Award at 2017 Best of Hartlepool Awards.

Hosted by Radio presenter Alfie Joey and Hartlepool Mail Editorial Director Joy Yates the evening brought together those who have made a significant difference in Hartlepool.

Pamela Hargreaves our Chair spoke for us all when she said. “We’re over the moon. It’s is such an honour to receive it as a charity, it’s recognised the work of our founder Wendy and the sterling work she has done and we will continue to do in her honour.”

We are delighted to announce that we are now holders of the North East Better Health at Work Awards - Continuing Excellence Award.

Its a fantastic acheivement for a VSCE Organisation such as us and demonstrates our committment to health improvement, starting with our own staff.

We are thrilled to welcome Paralympic Champion Stephen Miller MBE as our new Patron. Talking about his new role Stephen said “I’m really excited to support Families First North East I believe in their ethos and ambition to help more families. It’s important when you don’t have confidence or belief in yourself that you have a positive support network around you. I’ve seen Families First North East give that life changing personalised support by instilling confidence and raising aspirations. I’d encourage you all to think about how you can help them continue their work now and, in the future”.
