Hartlepool dentists give local charity more reasons to smile !!

We are delighted to announce that local Dentists, Elliott McCarthy Dental Care, have become Corporate Partners of Hartlepool Families First.

Elliott McCarthy Dental Care, based on Wiltshire Way, have pledged their support to the organisation and will be working jointly with them over the forthcoming 12 months through various fundraising events.

A planned highlight of the partnership will be in June and July this year, when Dentist Helen Elliott will be undertaking a gruelling challenge and climbing to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, with her husband Clive and two close friends, to raise funds for the organisation.

Practice Partners, Dr Helen Elliott and Dr Pauline McCarthy, said “Everyone at Elliott McCarthy Dental Care is delighted to be working with Hartlepool Families First as corporate partners for 2017. We have always felt very strongly as business owners about engaging with the community, in particular local charities and are both very excited to be able to continue that by working with such a forward-thinking organisation in Families First. “

“The work put in by all involved with the organisation to not only continue to provide but constantly improve the level of support they offer to both disadvantaged and disabled children, young people & families is truly something to admire and we would urge all of our patients to support them and their events in any way you can.”

“On a more personal note, Dr Elliott's son George who sadly passed away in October 2016 was a keen volunteer with Families First and loved his time spent down at One77 with the brilliant children and young adults supported there, so it brings us a great sense of pride that we can in some way help this to continue.”

In addition to their own fundraising efforts, the practice will also be the main sponsor to the Charity’s biggest fundraiser ever – The Ha-Ha-Hartlepool Festival of Laughs – being held between 7-9 July 2017.

Chairman of Hartlepool Families First, Pamela Hargreaves, said “We are absolutely delighted to be working with Elliott McCarthy Dental Care, a great example of how a local business can really make a positive difference to their local community. Their support will help to both strengthen and secure the work that we do to support some of Hartlepool’s most vulnerable children and young people”.
